Some of the biggest western stars of the time are brought together in the first of THE THREE MESQUITEER series, which was later to have John Wayne among its ranks of heroes. This one is basically a formula western, with Carey, Gibson, and Williams buying the ranch of a man killed by crooked town official Hardy, who wants the ranch for himself. Hardy sends a hired gun to take care of the new ranchers, but when Carey outdraws the gunman, Tyler, he joins forces with the threesome to fight off Hardy and restore the town to lawfulness.
