Fledgling model Julie Wolfe tells her tale in voice-over. Raised on Long Island, she is accepted by the New York City modeling agency Elite. Wolfe disappears for awhile as model Kelly Emberg takes over the voice-over. Then it's Carol Alt's turn, as she visits her firefighter dad. The story returns
to Wolfe as she and others (including Andy Warhol and fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez, who make brief uncredited appearances) watch break dancers at an informal fashion event...
