Lane plays a gun moll who stows away on a fishing boat captained by Boyd in order to avoid the police. They fall in love and marry; Lane going straight, with Boyd unaware of her shady past. The police eventually catch up to Lane, but not until she has managed to have a baby. She is taken to prison, prompting Boyd to commit a crime in order to be close to his wife.
