McCallum and Kerr are a pair of WW II veterans who are forced to dodge the police when McCallum kills a man in a fight. Reporter Withers offers them shelter on her boat, but the near-psychotic Kerr is easily panicked and attracts attention. In a battle with police, Kerr is killed and McCallum is left to surrender.
