Playtime

Interesting drama in which Seberg plays a lonely and bored American student in Versailles who becomes fascinated by sculptor Marquand. He lives next-door to her dorm with his patron, the wealthy Prevost. One day, near his house, she witnesses a hit-and-run accident in which a pedestrian is killed, but she can't see the driver of the car. Later, she meets Marquand and he is attracted to her. They begin an affair, but she soon realizes that he was the hit-and-run driver. Appalled by her discovery, she quickly brings the relationship to an end.
