Miller plays the young innocent from Nebraska who arrives in New York seeking fame and fortune as a model. She soon finds herself rooming with Winters, a singer. When Miller is rapidly discovered by magazine publisher Sullivan, who has her face splashed across an issue of his magazine Glitter, Winters reveals she is Sullivan's mistress and tells her roommate to stay away. During a jealous argument with Sullivan, Winters accidentally shoots him, which ruins Miller's career.
