A Place Called Glory: Review

Fairly interesting Spanish oater centers on a barbaric ceremony enacted in the small town of Glory every year to commemorate its founding. On each anniversary, the town enlists two of its fastest gunslingers to participate in a showdown on Main Street. This year, Barker and a gunman named Deakes are slated to appear. When a drifter, Brice, rides into town and announces that he has killed Deakes, the town's politicians persuade Brice to take the dead man's place, though they keep the change a secret. Before the fight, Brice rides off to another town where he meets and befriends Barker, unaware that he is the other half of the impending showdown. The men find themselves in agreement over the basic lawlessness to be found in Glory, and they vow to go there and clean things up. Upon arrival, the men are shocked to discover they are slated to shoot at each other, so they arrange to fool the townsfolk by faking the ordeal. After the showdown, the men unite and rid Glory of the vile men who insisted on the grim tradition. leave a comment
