Pier 5, Havana

1959, Movie, NR, 67 mins

Interesting only because it was one of the rare films shot in Cuba after Fidel Castro took over, PIER 5, HAVANA is just a routine adventure film with the usual cast of ho-hum talent. Mitchell stars as a Yank who comes to Havana in search of an old friend who disappeared during the Cuban Revolution. While nosing around, Mitchell discovers a group of Fulgencio Batista sympathizers plotting to overthrow Castro. Believe it or not, Mitchell runs to Castro's cops and blows the whistle on the conspirators and saves the glorious people's revolution. Comrade Cameron!
