Beautiful girls, big guns, softcore sex, lush Hawaiian settings... yes, it's an Andy Sidaris film, featuring many of his regular stars, many playing recurring characters from other Sidaris pictures. And it's exactly what it is: Nothing more and nothing less -- Sidaris himself was the first to admit he made variations on the same story in every film.

International crime lord and art collector Alejandro Philippe Salazar (John Aprea) -- codename: "Picasso Trigger" -- is out to murder all the federal agents who sent his pal Luca Ortiz to prison, where he was murdered. They include Travis Abilene (Steve Bond), crack pilot Donna Hamilton (Dona Spier), motorcycle stunts specialist Taryn (Hope Marie Carlton), martial arts experts Jade (Harold Diamond) and Edy Stark (Cynthia Brimhall), electronics wiz Professor (Richard LePore), all-around hellraisers Kym and Pattycakes (Kym Malin, Patty Duffek) and newcomer Pantera (Roberta Vasquez). An attempt on his life clues Abilene into Salazar's plot, but once he and his team reassemble and start investigating, he discovers that there's more to the matter than meets the eye.

Silly, picturesque and filled with semi-nudity and none-too-convincing violence, PICASSO TRIGGER, the third of Sidaris' so-called "babes and guns" pictures was made for late-night cable and insomniacs looking for an undemanding diversion with skin. leave a comment
