A musical biography of France's most beloved singer, Edith Piaf, PIAF--THE EARLY YEARS depicts her rise to fame in the legendary Paris of the 1920s and early 1930s. Beginning with her birth, the film works its way through her early temporary blindness, the street performances with her father, and her relationship with half-sister Simone Berteaut (played by Christophe), who wrote the book on which the film is based.
