The second "Philo Vance" mystery from PRC features Curtis (his second, and last, stab at the role) as the intrepid detective, who investigates several murders that occur after the theft of a valuable emerald. The body count begins when the thieves' ringleader is bumped off. Dead folks begin popping up everywhere and eventually, after all the other suspects are dead, Curtis figures out who the killer is. leave a comment
