Phantom Ship

In the late 19th century, an American windjammer was found drifting off the English coast. The crew members were gone and no trace of them was ever found. This film speculates on what might have taken place on board the ill-fated ship. Lugosi is excellent as Anton Lorenzen, a sea captain who slowly descends into madness. He is hired to pilot a ship on which, six years previously, he had been shanghaied and brutally mistreated by the first mate (Willard), an experience that left him mentally and physically ruined.
