The Phantom Express

A surprisingly effective poverty row mystery in which a group of villains use a "phantom" train to force oncoming trains to think they're about to have a head-on collision. The crooks hope that the constant brake slamming will sour the passengers on the railroad and they'll seek other modes of transportation, forcing the president of the railroad to sell the line. Bruce (Collier), the playboy son of the railroad's president, launches his own investigation into the mysterious wrecks.
