Carroll plays an 11-year-old radio actress who, dismayed about the quality of her scripts, joins the criminal underworld to research their speech habits (oh, sure). The kid's aunt, Warrick, and the cops believe that the whole thing is a big publicity stunt masterminded by Warrick's beau,
Reed. His denials cause a rift between the pair, so he sets out to find the brat and drag her home. Unfortunately, Carroll gets kidnaped and Reed must rescue her. All turns out well when Carroll is safely returned to the airwaves (with a better grasp of gangland lingo, one assumes) and Reed and
Warrick make up.
