Johns plays a 17-year-old who starts trouble when she falls hopelessly in love with her teacher, Genn. The small-town biddies begin to chatter when Johns disappears after Genn's wife, Tierney, confronts the teenager about her obsession. Soon after the girl's departure, her beret is found floating in the river, putting Genn under suspicion of murder.
