After her father disappears during an expedition to the mysterious East to gather a specimen of a semilegendary butterfly, Gwendoline (Tawny Kitaen) heads for Asia to find him. Once there, she is captured by white slavers who sell her to a brothel. Handsome smuggler Willard (Brent Huff) rescues her, and she persuades him to accompany her to the dangerous land of Yik-Yak to find her father. A silly adventure with a lot of exposed breasts (to be expected from the director of EMMANUELLE), the film is mostly boring. It is based on a notorious erotic comic strip of the 1930s and at the time of its release was allegedly the most expensive production in French film history. One can't help but wonder where the money went. leave a comment
