Penitentiary

Connolly is a district attorney who becomes a prison warden. As DA, he had been responsible for sending convict Howard up the river. Complications arise when Connolly's daughter falls in love with the con. The plot may sound a bit familiar if you've seen CRIMINAL CODE (1931). It's almost an exact duplicate of the earlier picture, although Connolly's performance is miles below Walter Huston's, who played the role in the original.
