Caine is a private eye a la Philip Marlowe in Los Angeles circa 1947 in this ho-hum attempt to spoof the genre. Hired by the wealthy Constantine to locate his daughter, Caine follows the clues to the home of the eccentric Prendergast family, who are housing Wood and Winn, one of whom is
Constantine's flesh and blood. The barren script has almost nothing going for it, except a nice impersonation of Bogie by Guy Marks over the opening credits. From there it goes downhill fast.
