With little more than a skeleton of a story, this is essentially a filmed record of Robert Dhery's stage revue, complete with dancing girls from the Lido. The minuscule plot revolves around the efforts of police inspector Lebeouf (Louis de Funes--his character name translated literally as MacBeef) as he attends the revue's rehearsal to make sure no decency laws are being broken.
