Twelve-year-old Jackie Cooper finds out he's adopted when Peterson and her obnoxious son (Searl) move in with Meighan. Peterson tries to cause a split between Cooper and his adoptive father so that her own boy can take Cooper's place in Meighan's affections, but nothing can come between the pair.
