In a fit of frustration, chorus girl Murray marries her childhood beau Robards in a desperate effort to make the man she really loves, millionare Barraud, jealous. While on their honeymoon in New York, the absent-minded Robards forgets to sign his new bride's name on the register and soon the house detective arrives. Claiming that he caught Murray in the room with another man the night before, he kicks the couple out into the street. Enraged at the thought that his bride has been with another, and concluding that the second party is none other than Barraud, Robards insists on a fight. Murray claims it is all just a misunderstanding, but the angry Robards leaves her anyway. Crushed, Murray becomes immersed in her role in a new Broadway show, hoping to forget. Miraculously, millionaire Barraud arrives on opening night with a marriage proposal and Murray enthusiastically accepts. Unremarkable, somewhat maudlin romance which contains a few brief sequences in Technicolor. leave a comment
