PAYMENT ON DEMAND was made before Davis' much flashier performance in ALL ABOUT EVE and was held back until after that was released. After 18 years at Warner Bros., this was her first outside assignment, and while it doesn't come close to some of her more memorable roles, it's still a fine movie.
