Paternity

1981, Movie, PG, 94 mins

Reynolds, the manager of Madison Square Garden, is just hitting middle age and is beginning to realize, thanks to his friends (Fell and Dooley), that he will have no one to continue his name and memory. So Reynolds decides to have a child, though not a wife, and searches for a woman willing to have his baby with no strings attached. D'Angelo, a musician and waitress who needs money to study in Paris, seems to fill the bill until love rears its ugly head. This light comedy suffers from a weak script, and although Reynolds manages to hold his own against the brainlessness of the material, he can't rise above it. leave a comment
