This picturesque desert romance, based on a novella by Honore de Balzac, must rank as one of the strangest celluloid love stories of all time. Ben Daniels is a Napoleonic officer lost in the Egyptian Sahara who befriends the sleek leopard who guards an oasis. He and the leopard grow close — very, very close.
