Once In Paris...

This film was greatly influenced by director-writer Gilroy's own experiences when he was sent to Paris to work on the script for THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN. There Gilroy met Lenoir, who worked as his chauffeur, and in this production Lenoir plays a chauffeur. Rogers is a scripter sent to Paris to try to salvage the remains of a screenplay that is in the middle of production. He is told that Lenoir is not to be trusted, but he discovers the contrary as the two men strike up a quick friendship.
