Sach (Hall) is mistaken for a missing French scientist and is sent to Paris, along with Slip (Leo Gorcey) and Louie (Bernard Gorcey), to impersonate him. The scientist had been working on a rocket fuel, which Hall manages to perfect in his absence. There are plenty of dull gags revolving around the boys' attempts to keep the formula out of the hands of spies. Definitely not one of the Bowery Boys' better efforts. Very little is seen of Chuck and Butch (Condon and Bartlett), described as "excess baggage" in this film by screenwriter Bernds, who explained that they were introduced into the Paris setting only as a symbol of the big gang Slip had in all the other "Eastside Kids" pictures. leave a comment
