This adaptation of the successful 1927 play has March and Harding as a liberated young husband and wife who decide that it is enough to remain "spiritually" faithful. Harding takes up with a musician, while March takes off for Europe. He returns and tells his wife that he had an affair with a French femme. Harding is hurt, never expecting him to take seriously their philosophy of infidelity. The finale has the two living happily together. An average picture which, like the play that preceded it, caused a great deal of talk among the "respected" social circles for its modernistic approach to matrimony. leave a comment
