This lightweight musical focuses on the dreams of talented youth, much like the more recent and more emotional FAME. It follows the path of teenager Jean, whose romance with Torme goes through some tough times. Part of the trouble comes when bandleader Crosby sends Weaver after Torme to get him to sign a contract. Jean then sends her father after Weaver, but everything turns out okay in the end. Songs include: "I'll See You in My Dreams" (Gus Kann, Isham Jones, sung by Crosby), "Do You Believe in Dreams?" (Don George, Irving Bibo, Al Piantadosi), "Spell of the Moon," "Shame on Me," "Drummer Boy," and "You've Got to Hand it to the Band." leave a comment
