This has more to do with Pancho Villa the myth than the man. He is presented as a good man, leading his revolutionaries against the men who killed Mexico's president. Carrillo (later to costar in the television series "The Cisco Kid") does well with his role as do the supporting cast
members. Though there is plenty of expertly staged action, the direction is too soft. Also, Villa here is too nice, a kind-hearted disciplinarian who probably could never lead a revolution. Filmed by a Mexican production company in English.
