Ballew plays a U.S. deputy assigned to infiltrate a band of stagecoach robbers. The outlaws are led by the scowling Beery, who constantly twitches his moustache. All works out well in the end, with bad guy Fields seeing the light, and Daw listening to Ballew sing his affections. This was the fifth and last cowboy picture for Ballew.
