College football star Ken Thomas (William Hopper) promises his girl friend (June Travis) he'll hang up his cleats rather than risk further injury; however, his alma mater stands to get a Big Donation if it can win the Big Game. Ken's to-play-or-not-to-play dilemma is further complicated by the fact that his family has money riding on the other team. What's a gridiron hero to do? Play, of course, but not if the scheming lawyer who has Ken tossed in jail has anything to say about it.
