Dunne and Knox are a pair of married writers living near an Army base. In order to find out more about military life, Knox joins up. He finds there's more to the disciplined lifestyle than he thought as he tries to compete with kids half his age. Meanwhile, Dunne is stuck at home trying to
cope with the domestic troubles that such a life brings. Coburn is the publisher who desperately wants Knox back at his old job. There are some wonderful parodies of Hollywood life as well when Dunne fights it out with film producer Watkin. This is based on a fine play by Ruth Gordon which she
