The Outsider: Review

Attenborough (who would later win an Oscar for directing GANDHI) is in the title role here as a rural English student put into an expensive public school as an experiment. He experiences an internal conflict between his simple upbringing and his posh new surroundings. Good supporting roles as well as Attenborough's thoroughly believable performance help make this a sincere, if minor, film. leave a comment
