The Outside Man

1973, Movie, PG, 104 mins

French hit man Trintignant comes to Los Angeles to knock off mob boss de Corsia. He accomplishes the task, but goes on the run when Scheider is hired to kill the Frenchman. Decidedly off-beat (a climactic shootout is set around de Corsia's corpse, embalmed in a sitting position), the film suffers from a lack of structure. Some excellent characterizations do pick things up, making this a must for genre fans. leave a comment
