Draft-dodger Larson returns home to California from his Canadian hideaway to attend his father's funeral. During his visit home he becomes involved in the problems of two former friends--a Vietnam vet (Bill) and a fellow draft-evader (Olivieri), whose life ends in suicide. This picture doesn't display any of the inventiveness of Baron's earlier films--BLAST OF SILENCE (1961) and PIE IN THE SKY (1964)--and its subject matter is given uninspired treatment.
