Outpost In Malaya

Hawkins plays a British plantation owner in Malaya whose marriage is on the rocks. He tries to force his wife, Colbert, to return to England with their son to avoid the potential disaster that awaits at the hands of native rebels on the rampage. Colbert refuses to abandon the plantation and the couple stays and fights off the uprising with help from Gopal, a loyal native aide. A fairly routine melodrama, the only unusual moment being a lengthy fight between a mongoose and a cobra that is wholly unrelated to the plot.
