This interesting low-budget "road" movie has Peter Coyote chucking his old life and taking to the highways in a quest for identity--a theme that runs through American culture from Huckleberry Finn to EASY RIDER. The twist here, though, is that none of it is played seriously. Coyote meets anarchists who foment revolution by extracting secret plans from bowls of alphabet soup. He also encounters a wise old Indian who seems to know all the mysteries of the universe but just wants to talk about his new boots.
