Craven, head of the Carter clan, is the operator of a drug store. When a cut-rate chain store opens in the area, he and his family begin to panic. The day is saved with the arrival of Lowe and his wife, Tobin, from the big city. The story is stripped to its barest essentials, relying on strong characterizations to carry the picture.
