Poitier poorly recreates the character from the movies IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT and THEY CALL ME MR. TIBBS, in which he starred as homicide detective, Virgil Tibbs. He becomes involved with a group of young people who are trying to clean up a local drug ring.
