A Hollywood film unit invades two British army barracks when the commanding officer is away. The officer suddenly turns up, putting a slight delay in the filming until the makers are able to charm him--using a pretty starlet, voluptuous blonde Grahame--into allowing them to continue.
However, when an army bigshot decides to make a snap inspection, the film unit is unable to explain its reasons for being in the camp. Except for a couple of decent comic performances, the good cast, including both Peter Sellers and Donald Pleasence in early roles, are wasted by the film's
haphazard construction.
