Operation Haylift

Story depicts a true incident in which the US Air Force saved cattle and sheep herds threatened with starvation when crippling blizzards struck Nevada in January of 1949. Intertwined with the rescue story is the tale of two brothers, Williams and Brown, ranchers who stand to be ruined by the disaster. It's a reasonably effective offering, though most of the interest derives from the fact that it's a true story. The film benefited from the full cooperation of the Air Force, which loaned numerous planes and equipment for use in the film.
