Producer Ponti assembled a star-studded cast and spared no expense in telling a story based on the British efforts during WW II to find and destroy Nazi rocket bases. The film begins with Johnson being assigned to investigate reports that the Nazis are on the verge of unleashing lethal rockets on England.
