Operation Crossbow

Producer Ponti assembled a star-studded cast and spared no expense in telling a story based on the British efforts during WW II to find and destroy Nazi rocket bases. The film begins with Johnson being assigned to investigate reports that the Nazis are on the verge of unleashing lethal rockets on England. Johnson finds evidence to support the report, and when V-1 rockets hit London, Peppard, Courtenay, and Kemp are chosen for a suicide mission to find the rocket base. They parachute into Germany and pose as scientists assigned to the project. Courtenay meets a quick demise when his cover is blown, but he reveals nothing about his cohorts.
