At an anti-aircraft station on the British coast, Lieutenant Sinden is joined by his wife, Murray, and other ATS (Auxiliary Territorial Service) women. No one on the base knows that Sinden and Murray are man and wife, and the major, Wayne, suspects the lieutenant is having an affair with Lesley.
