One of American International's occasional attempts to present serious material. Bridges tries to adjust to the real world after being a patient in a mental hospital. Thinking that he killed his mother, he tries to find a surrogate in Sarandon, Wedgeworth, and Miller. His mother isn't
actually dead, but their reunion does turn to violence. A heavy-handed script sinks this film into melodrama.
