ONE ROMANTIC NIGHT was Lillian Gish's first talkie and was adapted from Molnar's play "The Swan." The film was almost totally reshot by uncredited director George Fitzmaurice after Stein was released from the picture and second director Harry d'Abbadie d'Arrast was also released. The acting, except for Gish's and Dressler's, is wooden, and the film didn't help Gish's transition into sound pictures. leave a comment
