One Crowded Night

GRAND HOTEL in a California auto court, this film features just about every stereotypical character RKO could dig up. The film covers a single night in the court, jumping from one story to another until all the loose ends are tied up nicely by the finish. Among the players are an escaped convict and the mobsters pursuing him, a sailor AWOL from the Navy to be with his soon-to-deliver wife, and the authorities pursuing him, a woman with a shady past and the straight-arrow type who loves her, and a drunken doctor who's selling an elixir to cure any ailment.
