The second filming of Elmer Rice's popular 1919 play stars Norris as a lawyer assigned to defend an uncooperative Litel against a murder charge. Litel killed Stephenson and Norris proves the deed was necessary to preserve the honor of Litel's wife, Lindsay. She disappeared after the
crime, but Norris also succeeds in finding her and reuniting the happy couple. The drama offers some intrigue and is competently handled by Morse, who was beginning his directorial career in 1939. He would go on to do a number of B pictures, most notably the American version of GODZILLA (1956).
