Bergman, the bank-clerk daughter of a bohemian father, takes a liking to the artistic lifestyle. She finally falls for and marries the conservative Hanson, moving to his country estate. Worried that Bergman may miss the exciting life she led in the city, Hanson invites some of her friends
to come stay at their home, only to become jealous when one of Bergman's old flames arrives with the group. His fears prove unfounded, however, since Bergman is quite content in her life with him. A somewhat slow-moving story, elevated considerably by Bergman's performance. She had already
conquered the Swedish film industry and was now gaining the attention of Hollywood.
