The presence of the Ritz Brothers and Irving Berlin's tuneful score helped make this rollicking satire of the smart set one of the funnier musicals of the 1930s. The latest musical from Broadway producer Gary Blake (Dick Powell, borrowed from Warners) stars the Ritz Brothers and Mona Merrick (Alice Faye), casting the latter as "The Richest Girl in the World," a thinly disguised satirical version of Mimi Caraway (Madeleine Carroll). Mimi sees the show and, outraged by the resemblance between herself and the character, goes backstage in an attempt to get Gary to scissor the sketch.
