Musical comedy which has father Oakie and daughter Ryan partnered in a vaudeville act. Oakie, a staunch opponent of radio (it will ruin vaudeville) one day finds himself hosting a radio talent show in which he introduces a group of youngsters who have won a contest. The real-life winners of
the real-life contest appeared as themselves. Donald O'Connor had originally been scheduled to fill the juvenile spot held by Coy, but O'Connor enlisted--this was WW II, after all--and went off to training camp. The camera lingered long on the sweater of Julie London in her first featured role in
